Releasing Goodness

In Proverbs 3 it says do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so. This time in which we are living gives life to this scripture for me. To whom is good due? When I contemplate it, there are so many people I can think of to whom good is due.

Today I found myself examining whether goodness was in the power of my hands and if I was withholding it.

I realized that it was and made a commitment to release it in as many ways as I can. This is the revelation: I don't know if it impacted the recipients more than it impacted me. Acts of kindness, mercy and compassion can change someone's life instantly. I also found by focusing on ways that I can release goodness to whom it is due, the less I focused on the troubles of this world.
