The First Christmas Card

We received our first Christmas card in Portugal. A very special person took the time to find out how to send us a card and we received it with big hearts of gratitude.

This year we won't have a Christmas tree, decorations, stockings, lights and all of the things that we used to have. This one card will symbolically represent all of those for us.

I feel very satisfied with where we are and what we have and I am okay with Christmas happening the way that it is.

This card now makes it into history as I am keeping it. It reminds me of that beautiful song by Jim Reeves, An Old Christmas Card.
